When considering elder care at home for a loved one, you have numerous questions.
We’re happy to help answer any questions you may have. That’s why we’ve gathered some of our most frequently asked questions in one easy place for your convenience.
Don’t see the answer to what you have on your mind? No problem! Just contact us or give us a call at 250-590-8098 and our staff will be happy to walk you through any concern or issue.
How do you choose your caregivers?
Our caregivers are chosen for their skills, experience with caring, and hearts for service. As part of the application process, all potential caregivers are vetted and background checked. Once hired, they undergo a thorough training process to ensure they’re up to date on their caregiving and safety skills. Our caregivers receive ongoing training during their time with us, including specialty training such as the “Gentle Persuasive Approaches” training in Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
Will I be able to choose a caregiver for a family member?
We go to great lengths to match your family member with their perfect caregiver, taking into consideration likes and dislikes, personality traits, and more. However, if you aren’t satisfied with the caregiver we assign to your case, we’re always happy to match you with a new caregiver.
How does Serenity Home Care assess my loved one’s needs?
We begin the elder care process with a complimentary in-home evaluation. During that time, we will assess your loved one’s wants and needs, and perform an examination of the home for safety concerns. This is also a chance for you to ask questions and get to know more about the services Serenity Home Care offers. Our team will take the data gathered during the in-home evaluation and use it to build a customized care plan for your loved one.
Are you a local or a national company?
Serenity Home Care is proudly locally owned and operated by husband and wife team Murray and Kathy. We’re thrilled to be rooted in Victoria and to serve the local community through our in-home elder care services.
